Android 13 Release Date
Google launched Android 12.0 in October 2021, and the company subsequently released Android 12L, which is a version of Android for big-screen phones. After the completion of Android 12L, an update to Android 13 may be released in 2022. Android 13’s release date is yet to be announced, but the first developer preview (DP) is likely to debut in February 2022, and the complete version will follow in the spring. Android 11 DP1 was introduced in February 2020, while the stable version came out in September 2020. The pattern followed by Android 12 was similar; it released its first DP in February 2021, with a final release coming later that year.
Android 13 Compatible Devices (Expected)
Google’s upcoming Pixel 7 series devices will come with Android 13 out of the box. The current Pixel flagships, the Pixel 6 Pro and the regular Pixel 6 will be getting the Android 13 update as well. We’re also confident that the older Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, and Pixel 4a 5G will be upgraded to the newer operating system.
