As per sources, this is still based on Android Nougat, not Oreo. But Sony has started working on Oreo build for the flagship device which may be released in few months.This is an incremental update with latest security patch so we recommend users to Update Xperia X and X Compact to 34.3.A.0.238 October Security This update is rolling out via OTA (Over The Air).Those who didn’t wait for OTA they can also try manually pulling the firmware by going to the Settings –> About Device –> Check for Updates and download it manually. If you want to wait for OTA, then it may take few days to reach all corners for the world.

Download 34.3.A.0.238 October Security Update – Coming Soon Sony Xperia X and X Compact are released in 2016. It includes a 5.0 and 4.6-inch 1080x1920p and 720x1280p display, both devices are loaded with Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 chipset with 3GB and 3GB of RAM, and 23MP rear camera with 5 MP selfie shooter. It comes with Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) out of the box can be upgradable to Android Nougat. Before proceeding for installation make sure that you have atleast 50%-60% battery on your device and we strongly recommend to download the update via WIFI network to avoid data charges.
