The June 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S21 series is now available for the carrier-locked variants in the US. It comes with the firmware version G991USQU5CVF3, G996USQU5CVF3, and G998USQU5CVF3 for Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra, respectively. The latest software update for the Galaxy S21 series mainly brings the June 2022 security patch that fixes 66 vulnerabilities of different severity levels to improve system security and privacy. It also improves system stability.
If you own carrier-locked Galaxy S21, S21+, or S21 Ultra in the United States, you might have already received the June 2022 security update. If you haven’t, go to Settings » Software update and tap on the Download and install buttons to update your phone with the latest available update. After getting launched with the Android 11-based One UI 3, Samsung upgraded the Galaxy S21 series to Android 12 towards the end of last year.
