The new software update for Redmi Note 8 Pro is bundled with firmware version V12.0.6.0.QGGINXM. While several other smartphone manufacturers have rolled out July security patch to most of their phones, Xiaomi is sending the old June 2021 security patch. South Korean giant Samsung has even started rolling out the August 2021 security patch. The new OTA update for Redmi Note 8 Pro does not bring anything other than just a new security patch. It may take a couple of days to reach all the units. You can manually check for the latest update by heading to Settings » About phone and then check for new updates.
