According to the recent reports, the company has already started working on One UI 4.0, which will be based on Android 12. It was earlier expected that Samsung might bring One UI 3.5. But, reliable Samsung tipsters claim that there will be no One UI 3.5. So, Samsung could launch Android-12 based One UI 4.0 later this year. Google recently announced the Android 12 at the I/O 2021 event. The next iteration of Android OS brings major redesign and privacy-oriented features. The company has already released public beta 1 and beta 2 builds of the Android 12 for a specific set of devices. Usually, Samsung releases the latest update to its latest Galaxy S-series phones. Last year, the Galaxy S20 series was the first to receive Android-11 based One UI 3.0. And then, One UI 3.1 debuted with Galaxy S21 series earlier this year. So, it’s most likely that the Galaxy S22 could be the first phone to have Android-12 based One UI 4.0 skin, which is expected to launch later this year.

One UI 4.0 (Android 12) Released Date
Most of the brands offer public beta of every new Android version, just like Google does for the Pixel phones, but Samsung does not follow the pattern. Samsung starts beta program once Google releases the stable version of the new version of Android OS. This year, the Android 12 stable build may arrive in late August or September 2021. Based on this, we can expect One UI 4.0 beta program to go live in October or November 2021.
